Castle jug: façade with medieval decorations

The half-timbered building has now been given a paint scheme typical of the Baroque period: a narrow line on the beams, decorated with floral ornaments in the corners. The paintwork was discovered during restoration work, and the monument authorities agreed to reconstruct the beautiful floral elements. Similar decorative painting can be found on some of the beamed ceilings in the castle and at Finkenherd 1.
