Castle Museum

The newly designed castle museum will open in 2026.

In the summer of 2026, the second chapter will begin when the large new castle museum in the residential palace opens its doors. In the historic rooms where noblewomen once held spiritual responsibility and exercised secular power, the history of the abbey and the town of Quedlinburg will be told in a modern and lively way. The opening of the castle museum will complete the tour, which leads from King Henry I to the abbey church and the award of UNESCO World Heritage status.

The complete museum tour, including the exhibition in the castle museum, is scheduled for summer 2026.
