Castle Museum

The newly designed castle museum will open in 2026.

On 3 October 2026, the second chapter will begin when the grand new castle museum in the Residential Palace opens its doors. In the historic rooms where women of the highest nobility once held spiritual office and exercised secular power, the history of the abbey and the town of Quedlinburg will be told in a modern and vivid way. The opening of the Castle Museum will then complete the thematic tour, which leads from King Henry I via the abbey church to the awarding of the UNESCO World Heritage title.
